Pure Speed, Refined. Aerodynamics Without Compromise.
The Cervélo S5 is the benchmark for aerodynamic performance in modern road racing, and the results speak for themselves. From Wout van Aert’s historic Green Jersey victory to Simon Yates’ maglia rosa, the S5 has become an unmistakable presence at the very front of the professional peloton.
For 2026, Cervélo takes its fastest road bike ever and makes it even faster, lighter, and more refined. The new S5 delivers over 6 watts of aerodynamic savings, drops 124 grams, and retains the confidence-inspiring handling and stability riders around the world rely on. This is speed, evolved.
AERO, REDEFINED
Over 6 Watts Faster
Aerodynamic gains on the new S5 come primarily from the front of the bike—where speed matters most. Deeper fork legs, a more sculpted head tube, and refined airflow around the seat tube and rear wheel combine to make the S5 6.3 watts faster than its predecessor. Cervélo’s data also confirms the new S5 is at least 5 watts faster than key competitors.
One-Piece HB19 Handlebar & Stem
The all-new HB19 one-piece cockpit builds on Cervélo’s iconic V-stem concept using the Plus-Four geometry: the bar is 4 cm narrower at the hoods than in the drops (e.g. 38/42).
This design:
- Improves aerodynamic body positioning on the hoods
- Enhances stability in the drops for sprinting and descending
- Remains fully UCI-legal, even under the latest regulations
Integration, stiffness, and speed, perfectly balanced.
Lighter Without Losing Its Edge
Despite increased surface area for aerodynamic gains, the new S5 is 124 g lighter than before. Optimized carbon layups and refined hardware ensure weight savings without compromising stiffness, control, or durability.
