Specialized Helmet - S-Works Evade 4 Satin Root Beer

The S-Works Evade 4 is an aerodynamic competition helmet developed for road, gravel and cross-country racing. Engineered in Specialized’s WinTunnel and refined with feedback from WorldTour athletes, it combines a low-drag profile with a redesigned ventilation system, precise fit adjustment and integrated rotational-impact protection.

More than 100 hours of aerodynamic and thermal testing were used to balance speed, cooling and comfort across high-intensity racing conditions and longer endurance efforts.

WinTunnel-Developed Aerodynamics

The helmet’s external profile and internal airflow paths have been developed through controlled wind-tunnel testing. Its aerodynamic shape is designed to manage airflow efficiently across different riding positions, making it suitable for fast road racing, exposed gravel courses and cross-country competition.

4D Cooling System

Redesigned front vents work with the reintroduced MouthPort and optimized internal channels to direct air through the helmet. According to Specialized, this updated structure makes the Evade 4 approximately 2.4% cooler than the previous generation.

The system is designed to maintain airflow at race speeds while limiting the aerodynamic compromises normally associated with highly ventilated helmets.

Performance Fit

A revised internal headform works with the BOA® Fit System featuring FS2 to provide incremental, micro-adjustable retention. The system distributes tension around the head for a stable fit under high-speed and uneven riding conditions.

Tri-Fix 5 strap geometry simplifies strap positioning around the ears and helps maintain consistent helmet placement.

Mips® Air Node Pro

Mips® Air Node Pro protection is integrated directly into the helmet padding. This low-profile system is designed to permit controlled relative movement between the helmet and the head during certain angled impacts.

The updated pad construction also supports moisture management and reduces unnecessary internal bulk.

Eyewear Storage

Integrated eyewear-storage slots feature shaped internal ridges to help secure sunglasses when they are not being worn. The design limits movement and reduces the likelihood of glasses rattling or becoming dislodged during riding.
