The ZUATU ZM Mountain takes the efficiency and performance philosophy of ZUATU’s road cycling footwear and adapts it for the unpredictable demands of mountain biking, XC, gravel and adventure riding.

Built around a stiff carbon performance sole, the ZM delivers the efficient power transfer expected from a high-performance cycling shoe, while a Vibram® high-grip rubber outsole provides the traction, protection and stability needed when the terrain forces you off the bike.

A recessed SPD cleat position keeps the cleat protected within the outsole, creating a more natural and stable platform for walking across rocks, gravel, dirt and technical terrain.

Up top, an eVent® waterproof upper helps protect against wet and unpredictable conditions, while the dual-dial closure system provides a precise, secure and easily adjustable fit throughout the ride.

Carbon Performance Sole

At the heart of the ZM is the same fundamental principle behind every performance cycling shoe: efficient power transfer begins with a stable platform.

The carbon performance sole provides the stiffness required to efficiently transfer power through the pedals, helping minimise unwanted flex under load.

But unlike a pure road racing shoe, performance off-road requires more than stiffness alone.

The ZM is designed around a recessed SPD-style cleat position, integrating the cleat within the surrounding Vibram® outsole.

This helps protect the cleat from direct contact with the ground while providing a considerably more stable walking platform than exposed road cleats.
